Fire, water, air and earth - fog floats over a land without life. Thunder, lightning and elemental forces announce the arrival of a creation. From the eerie expanse of space, a son of the gods descends. From a mass of lifeless fragments, Prometheus, the favorite of Zeus, creates creatures filled with life - mankind! He plays and dances with his people. They want to be like their creator. They have nothing of their own, are soulless. Prometheus resolves to give the young world fire, and to give the new life warmth and a soul.
